7 Easter Crafts for Adults to Have a Go at This Year!

Every year I tell myself I’ll do something more than just buy a few chocolate eggs and call it a day. This time, I want to go beyond buying treats - I've been itching to actually make something (no messy finger paints required).

After far to much scrolling on Pinterest (as you do). I've found some brilliant Easter craft ideas that feel stylish and fun - without looking like a primary school art project.

So, I thought I’d share my top seven ideas with you. They’re easy enough for anyone to try but still have that grown-up touch - perfect for adding a bit of flair to your Easter weekend. So. Grab a cuppa, and let’s chat about some creative projects to make this Easter feel a little bit more… you.

1. A Minimalist Easter Wreath That Doesn’t Scream “Overkill”

Wicker wreath with pastel eggs and branches hangs on a wooden door. Blurred floral foreground. Cosy and rustic ambience. Easter crafts for adults.

I’ve never been one for those massive, in-your-face wreaths that look like they’ve swallowed an entire craft shop. But a sleek, minimalist Easter wreath? Now that’s my kind of thing. Picture this: a simple twig base - maybe one you’ve nabbed from the garden - with a few pastel-painted wooden eggs dangling off it. Add a bit of twine for that rustic look, and you’re sorted. It’s one of those Easter crafts for adults that feels classy but doesn’t take hours to pull off.

Last weekend, I gave this a go while listening to some old-school tunes in the background. I’ll be honest - I underestimated how fiddly a hot glue can be. Nearly stuck my fingers together twice! But once it was done, I hung it on my front door and felt like a real grown-up. You can pick up the bits for this at any craft shop - or even raid your local charity shop for some quirky add-ons. Have you ever tried making a wreath before? It’s oddly satisfying watching it come together.

2. Hand-Painted Egg Planters for Your Succulents

Easter crafts for adults. Eggshells with succulents in pastel holders on a sunny windowsill. Egg carton nearby. Paintbrush on white ledge. Bright, creative setup.

Okay, hear me out - egg planters. I know it sounds a bit out there, but these are so cute I couldn’t resist adding them to my list of Easter crafts for adults. You start with some empty eggshells (carefully cracked at the top, mind you), give them a quick rinse, and then paint them with pastel acrylics. I went for a soft lavender shade because it matches my kitchen vibe, but you can go wild with whatever colours you fancy. Once they’re dry, pop a tiny succulent or some herbs inside and display them in egg cups on your windowsill.

I made a set of three last week, and I swear they’ve made my home feel ten times more cheerful. There’s something about seeing those little green sprouts poking out of a painted egg that just screams spring. Plus, it’s a great way to use up those eggs before they go off - waste not, want not, right? If you’re not green-fingered, you could even fake it with some artificial plants. No judgement here.

3. DIY Easter Candles with a Citrus Twist

Easter crafts for adults. Lit candles in glass jars on a wooden surface, surrounded by dried orange slices and twine. Warm, cosy atmosphere.

Candles are my go-to for making any space feel cosier, and Easter’s the perfect excuse to whip up some themed ones. This one’s a bit more involved, but still very doable as one of those Easter crafts for adults that feels a bit fancy.

You’ll need some wax (soy wax is my favourite - it burns cleaner), wicks, and a few small jars or tins. The twist? Add some dried orange slices and a few drops of citrus essential oil to the mix. It smells like spring in a jar, and it looks gorgeous when the candlelight flickers through the orange slices.

If you don't have supplies at home you could always use a candle making kit like this Kazaigou Candle Making Kit that has everything you need to make candles for yourself and your friends or family.

I tried this out with a friend last month, and we ended up with wax all over her kitchen counter - oops! But the end result was worth it. They make great little gifts too, if you’re feeling generous. Just tie a bit of ribbon around the jar, and you’ve got yourself a proper homemade pressie. What do you reckon - would you give candle-making a go?

4. Upcycled Easter Cards with Pressed Flowers

Easter crafts for adults. Pressed flowers on handmade cards, surrounded by scissors, notes, and dried blooms. Sunlit, soft colours create a peaceful mood.

I’m a bit old-school when it comes to cards - I still love sending them, even if it’s just a quick note to say “thinking of you.” So naturally, I had to include some card-making in this list of Easter crafts for adults. But these aren’t your bog-standard cards with cartoon bunnies on them. Nope, we’re talking about upcycled cards using bits of old wrapping paper or scrap fabric as the base, then sticking on some pressed flowers for that extra touch.

I’ve got a little stash of dried flowers from last summer (lavender and daisies mostly), and they worked a treat for this. It’s a bit fiddly getting the flowers to stick without looking messy - I used a tiny bit of clear glue and held my breath - but the result is so pretty. It’s like giving someone a little piece of spring. Plus, it’s a great way to use up odds and ends lying around the house. Got any old flowers you’ve been meaning to do something with? Now’s the time!

5. A Geometric Easter Egg Mobile

Easter crafts for adults. Hanging eggs with geometric patterns in pastel and gold tones. Brushes and paint palette on sunny table. Modern, artistic setting.

This one’s for anyone who likes their decor a bit more modern. I saw something like this on Pinterest and thought, “I need that in my life.” It’s a mobile made from wooden eggs or plastic if you prefer, painted in bold geometric patterns - think triangles, hexagons, that sort of thing. You string them together with some thin wire or fishing line and hang it up somewhere it can catch the light. It’s one of those Easter crafts for adults that looks way more complicated than it actually is.

I gave it a whirl a couple of weeks ago, and I’ll admit I got a bit carried away with the paint patterns. Ended up with more paint on my hands than the eggs! But once it was hanging above my dining table, it looked proper artsy. If you’re into clean lines and modern vibes, this one’s for you. Maybe snap a pic of yours if you give it a go - I’d love to see how it turns out!

6. Fabric Bunny Napkin Rings for Your Easter Table

Easter crafts for adults. Easter-themed table with pink and blue napkins wrapped in bunny-shaped holders, gold cutlery, pastel flowers, and bunny figurines. Cozy ambiance.

Right, so I’m not usually one for faffing about with table settings, but these fabric bunny napkin rings are too cute to skip. You don’t need to be a sewing whizz for this - just some scraps of fabric, a needle and thread (or fabric glue if you’re lazy like me), and a bit of patience. Cut out little bunny shapes, stitch or glue them into a ring shape, and slide your napkins through. It’s one of those Easter crafts for adults that adds a bit of charm without being over the top.

I made a set for a little Easter brunch I’m hosting this year, and they’ve already got my mates asking where I bought them. Didn’t have the heart to tell them it took me less than an hour while watching telly! They’re dead easy to personalise too - mix up the fabrics or add little buttons for eyes. What’s your Easter table looking like this year?

7. A Spring-Inspired Photo Frame with Felt Flowers

Easter crafts for adults. Decorative felt photo frame with yellow and purple flowers sits on a table with craft materials. A blurred floral vase in the background.

Last but not least, let’s talk about a photo frame that’ll brighten up any corner of your house. Grab a plain wooden frame (charity shops are great for these), some felt in springy colours like yellow and pink, and cut out some flower shapes. Stick them around the frame, pop in a photo - maybe one from last Easter or a sunny day out - and you’ve got yourself a little keepsake. It’s one of those Easter crafts for adults that doubles as a heartfelt gift if you fancy giving it away.

I made one of these for my mum last week, and she’s already got it pride of place on her mantelpiece. There’s something about crafting with felt that takes me right back to being a kid, but the end result looks grown-up enough to pass muster. Plus, it’s a nice way to display those memories you keep meaning to print out. Got any photos you’ve been meaning to frame?

So There You Have It!

So there you have it - seven Easter crafts for adults that won’t make you feel like you’re back in Year 3 art class. I’ve had a blast putting this list together, and I’m already planning which one I’ll tackle next. Maybe the napkin rings for my brunch, or another go at those egg planters… Honestly, it’s been a nice little escape from the usual Easter madness of hunting for the cheapest chocolate eggs in the supermarket.

What about you? Which of these caught your eye? Or have you got some other Easter crafts up your sleeve? Drop me a comment below - I’d love to hear what you’re getting up to this year. And if you give any of these a go, let me know how it turns out. Happy crafting!
